On Updates and Awesome Things in Life

And being grateful.

I am guilty. I haven't updated this blog in.a.while. and by that I mean for a LONG time. I have to admit it's mostly because I am just plain lazy. A lot of (good) things has happened recently and they deserve to be shared. I got a new job and we have a house (details on a separate post). So bloggerverse (or is it bloggingverse?) get ready! In the mean time, I want to share some quotes.

On men's shoes

Recently, I've found myself more drawn to comfortable flats especially to androgynous footwear. I've always loved brogues even before everyone has been wearing them. It perks up your rather boring outfit with just a simple footwear. Above are the recent addition to my collection. I love the mix of toughness and femininity on the Docs and was surprised at how comfortable they are and I got them for 75% off! The Timberlands are actually boys' shoes (which I found out after purchasing them). I was looking for some boat shoes/ topsiders, sort of like Sperry top siders but the ones online are out of my budget range and there are nothing on my size at my nearby Winners. So I saw these guys and just tried them on, they fit and got them. They are extra soft and comfortable and at that point, I don't care if they are for guys or for girls.

SNEAK PEAK ON MY WEEKEND

last weekend was amazing. our family and close friends, which we treat as our own families had a survivor themed weekend which involved camping, outdoor games for the kids and all fun stuff. i'll post more in the coming days. i really have to pinch myself sometimes because being blessed with the type of family that i have seems too good to be true and i am forever grateful.

HOW'S MY WEEKEND?

awesome. definitely awesome.

DEAR SUSHI (AND RAMEN)

If there's one type of food that my husband and I love so much, aside from my mom's excellent cooking, it's Japanese food. I can blab about it all day and I won't be able to stress enough how much we love it. I noticed every time we eat out recently, we've been going to the same place every time to eat our beloved sushi, not that I am complaining. It's disappointing though that there is no ramen place around where we are. I haven't had ramen for a year and my throat is seriously parched for that warm broth and yummy noodles. I can eat ramen all day everyday and I'll be happy.

^^my husband very sad that we've finished the boat. pat on our backs for conquering it
