Constant Thing

You've heard of this a million times --- the only constant thing in the world is CHANGE.
And for me, that is completely true. A lot has happened to me for the past 2 months.
I quit my job.
My mom and I moved to Pampanga.
I moved to Canada.

All these in just less than a month. It sounds too much to handle if you come to think of it but for some reason, everything came together with ease. The hubby and I initially planned to wait for 6 months or until I get my papers all settled before I move to Canada with him. We just thought that it would be the best plan financially. We didn't know that it would hard for us emotionally.

Now that I am married, I realized that my priorities have changed. I have this other half of me that I need to take care of and be there for and I am so blessed and very thankful to have such a supportive mom. She's even the one who pushed me to move and be with my husband! At first, I was petrified. I want to make sure that hubby and I are making the right decision and not just out of haste. My mentors and all my friends support my decision and are very happy for me and my husband! I am very blessed with an awesome mom and great friends and I couldn't thank God enough.

I am now in Canada with my husband and we couldn't be happier to start our own life and family together in my new home. There are still some stuff that needs to be finalized but I know and I claim that all of them will happen as I visualize them to be.

Cheers!

Androgyny

Get ready for some mind blowing pictures.

I was going over Lookbook last night when I stumbled upon a picture who I thought was I girl. When I saw his name, my jaw dropped and realized, he is a guy. People, meet Michael Tintiuc, a 19 year old model from Moldova. Moldova --- where? Yeah, thought so. I've seen a blog of a girl from Moldova but I didn't know that a model is from there. I'm not saying that people from Moldova don't have the right to be   in the fashion industry but it's just that, it's not your usual country to associate with fashion. Alright, 'nuff said.

Nagulat kayo no? Siya na ang maganda! Parang ayokong tumabi sa kanya dahil mas maganda pa siya sa akin. This guy has a lookbook page and a blog of his own. He has walked the runway for Gareth Pugh and Rick Owens. Well, peg naman talaga niya ang fashion aesthetics ng mga designers na yun. With this, I realized that the fashion is indeed ever changing and becoming more and more, shall I say, unconventional? Androgyny is becoming very much of a trend and models who look like the opposite sex tend to sell more. Gets? Girls who look like boys and boys who look like girls. Here are more proof.

Meet Andrej Pejic (read as Andrey Pej-ik). He was born in Yugoslavia but because of the war, he and his family moved to Australia. Now at first glance, who would have thought that this is a freaking guy???!!! Ang ganda niya, yun lang. Because he is so gorgeous, he still looks like a woman even if he wears men's clothes.

Bumenta siya ng sobra when he closed the show of Jean Paul Gaultier wearing the designer's wedding dress. Imagine, a guy wearing a wedding dress?!

I am not sure if he is gay or not (there's nothing wrong if he is) but I noticed that he's been wearing more women's clothes in pictures. So I guess it's up to people on how they want to see him/ her.

Well, here's another proof. Meet Erika Linder, another gender-bender model. This Swedish model is so unbelievable. She can show her soft side when modeling women's wear and can be true hottie when she needs to model men's wear. People say she looks like River Phoenix and Leonardo DiCaprio (Titanic and Romeo + Juliet time).

Oh di ba, akala mo talaga lalaki? Gwaping!

Ito ang hindi ko kinaya! May panlalaking abs si ate! nakakaloka!

When I saw this, akala ko talaga lalaki. homaygulay!

Erika and Andrej also did a photo shoot entitled 'Battle of the Sexes'. Speechless. Yun lang.

Candies

During the time that I've been blogging I've been doing some shopping of my own. I've some really nice candies which I want to show you. Well, here they are, enjoy!

These shoes I got from Canada and the Philippines.

L-R:  Old Navy boots, Janylyn boots, Christian Siriano for Payless Oxfords.

My mom and I went to Payless one time to buy her shoes. To our surprise, a lot of the designer shoes were on sale! The Christian Siriano shoes were so fierce which sold for only Php400. I even got the oxfords for only Php200. The suede pumps I used for my wedding. I've been looking for a really nice pair of suede pumps and glad I've found them.

L: Christian Siriano caged booties

My friends and I had a spontaneous road trip to Tagaytay and on our way home, we saw this outlet store beside Paseo de Sta. Rosa. It was an ALDO Liquidation store! We quickly parked and went inside and looked what I've got! All boots are buy one take one so my friend and I teamed up and she got the suede version of the one below for Php1,100 each. We also got the leather flats for Php1,000. I can't wait to wear them!

Grateful

I know I have a lot of things to be thankful for and I have to admit, most of the time I forget to stop and thank Him. I had a great time with close friends last Friday chatting over Chinese food then wine and cheese. I'm the type who has a lot of acquaintances but very few close friends whom I trust. I like to keep it that way. I am thankful that I have them as my friends. We are the type to accept each other, no matter what, defend against judgmental people in the universe but still honest enough to tell each other if something is wrong.

Today is also bonding day with my mom. We had a massage in the morning using the coupon I purchased (which is totally a steal. Php299 for 90 min massage for 2 ppl!). On the way home, we had late lunch and bought 'a couple' of things on the way. hahaha. We bought shoes! Pictures to follow tomorrow. It's my advance birthday gift to her (her birthday is tomorrow) :)

Okidokie. I'll tell more stuff and post pics tomorrow. Bye for now! :)
